The Skull (also known as the Magician) is a recurring class in the series. Skulls are boys capable of wielding mysterious powers and enter into magical academy at a young age, devoting themselves to their studies. Only those who can prove themselves through harsh courses and competition are granted the trademark skull hood and glasses, which are designed to increase their concentration. When their concentration is at their peak they enter a trance like state, noted by them making odd noises, and can harness concentration power over 200 Polgia. Due to their upbringing, they are more studious and serious than Mages.

Skulls appear in Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, again as a starting class. A new feature when creating Skulls involves choosing their Element forte.
