In some ways, the Shroom acts as the antithesis to the Succubus, with its native and tier 5 Evilities acting as the female-inflicting version of the Succubus', for example. It has balanced physical stats (SPD aside), making it a physical Jack-of-all-trades, also an opposite from the Succubus. This, unfortunately, means that it can not excel in certain areas, as much as specialized classes like the Warrior and Heavy Knight, although it also means it does not suffer in terms of how much damage it can deal or take, aside from its lack of SPD which can make it an easy target.
Saving it from its jack-of-all-trades problem are certain properties; first, it has a spear-like range for the use of support attacks or countering to other 2-range attacks. Secondly, its skills cover the causing of all 5 status effects, from Forget to Paralyze; notably, Erynger Roll has a power of B and can cause Forget, which makes it useful, and Mushroom Harvest, while only having a power of D, can cause both Poison and Paralyze. If you have units that can take advantage of these effects, then you may find the Shroom useful. Finally, as a Magichanged weapon, it is an Axe and has an S-rank move that can hit multiple targets, making it potentially useful for high attack damage, if indirectly.
The Shroom is an odd unit in all respects; it has many different possible uses with all its properties that a player may find useful. However, its jack-of-all-trades style and lack of specific purpose means that there are likely to be better units to choose from.
