- Main article: Male Healer
The Priest is one of the initial classes made available from the start. The sole defining factor that separates the Priest from the Healer are their differing stat make-ups.Both genders have high SP and RES, but that's where the similarities end.
The Priest has sub-par HIT, SPD, and ATK, having much better INT and DEF outputs than the Healer to compensate. Priests are naturally aligned towards Books and Staves. This gives him better Magical ability at the cost of reduced Weapon options. (This makes him a good character for learning spells)
The Priest's Evilities vary in effect, ranging from healing the caster and target with one spell, to giving equipped Book weapons the range properties of a Staff.
“A priest who punishes himself for healing. Adept at healing and books.”
—Job Description, Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness
“Contrary to other demons, they hate to fight. Many hold no prejudices toward humans or angels. Since they consider it a huge sin to heal those who are injured, they wear barbed clothing as away of punishing themselves. They always study hard and spend many hours at the Netherworld Library. One of their biggest pet peeves is that they are often mistaken for girls.”
