- Main article: Male Angel
The Male Angel is unlocked upon completing Episode 8 of the story, or having both a Priest and Magic Knight at level 100 of higher.
The Male Angel is a physically geared character in comparison to their female counterparts; sporting better DEF, ATK, and HP at the cost of reduced INT/SP aptitudes. Both genders of the Celestial Host have abyssal SPD, and extremely high RES. The Male Angel's Aptitudes and Weapon Mastery are lackluster (compared to other classes) when first unlocked, but slowly enter the stratosphere as they progress through their tiers, making them easy to customize. As such, they can be given just about any physical weapon and not suffer for it. However, their damage and defense outputs will not come close to those of specialized classes, such as the Armor Knight or the Samurai.
To compensate for their aptitude handicap, all of their primary Evilities are aimed at increasing adjacent allies' attacking power; making them excellent in formations and Team Attacks. The Male Angel also learns Healing spells up to Giga level, as well as Espoir, further complimenting their "Jack-of-all-Trades" fighting style. Their "Flying"-type movement (native to both Angel genders) also makes them useful in the Item Sea, as they can breeze past obstacles few other characters can.
“An angel who specializes in fighting. Blesses the attacks of his allies.”
—Job Description, Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness
“Angel soldiers who specialize in battle. They work together to defend and protect the peace of Celestia. Compared to their female counterparts, they are less prejudiced. However, once they identify an enemy, they will do whatever it takes to vanquish them. Some train in the Netherworld to strengthen their spiritual powers.”
