Majin
The Majin is a recurring humanoid class in the Disgaea series. These formidable warriors are born with incredible strength and enjoy a good fight more than anything, believing that the weak have no right to live. They are among the most powerful units in the series, often have Weapon Mastery of all weapons and exceptionally high aptitudes. To balance this, they are often extremely difficult to unlock.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Edit
- Main article: Majin (Disgaea)
In Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, there must be a Male Warrior, Male Brawler, Ninja, Thief, and Scout at level 200 currently in the party before the Majin is unlocked. The Majin is able to master all weapons, and has one of the highest aptitudes and stat gains, making them popular units, but are usually considered to be the cheapest creatable unit.
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
Edit
- Main article: Majin (Disgaea 2)
In Disgaea 2, the Majin becomes unlocked after completing the game, starting a new cycle, and passing the bill "Make the Ultimate Warrior". Much like their Disgaea: Hour of Darkness counterparts, they have the ability to master all weapons and have high aptitudes, but their movement and throwing have been severely reduced to three and one, respectively. They have a passive ability that doubles their stats if they are the only unit left alive on the field. If the player has a Majin, the passive ability only activates if the player has only the Majin on the field and cannot send any more units from the starting base.
Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
Edit
- Main article: Majin (Disgaea 3)
In Disgaea 3, the Majin, unlocked in the same manner as in Disgaea 2, has been severely reduced in effectiveness, having no ability to master weapons nor having noticable aptitudes.
Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten
Edit
The Majins do not make an appearance in this installment to the series and have effectively been replaced by the Android class.
Other games
Edit
Soul Nomad and the World Eaters
Edit
The 'Gideon' can be considered the Majin class of this game. All of their stats are above average, and their middle and back attacks attack all the units within an enemy squad. They are also the most expensive unit to create and to summon, so they are best used in the Hero's squad, which requires no GP to use.
Trivia
Edit
The Majin from both Disgaea 2 and 3 have a strong resembalence to Overlord Zetta.
