List of Spells that can be learned in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

Range and AoE[]

Spells start with a range of 1 and 1 area of effect. They can be increased by Skill Level and Staff Mastery:

  • Skill Level: Range +1 at levels 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10. New area of effect every level until 9.
  • Staff Mastery: Applies to all Spells, but only works while Staff is equipped. Range +1 at levels 2, 6, 10 and 15. New area of effect at levels 3, 7, 11 and 16.

Even with both methods in play, the range increase has a limit of +6 and there's only 9 areas of effect. The base SP cost of a Spell is multiplied by the amount of panels of area being used.
