Dark Court

The Dark Court is a gameplay feature that only appears in Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories. Run by Prinnies, they award felony charges to characters who have been judged by the Dark Assembly for a crime, such as "Too Many Murders" or "Being a Loser."

[edit] Obtaining Felonies

By talking to the Post Officer (a Skull with a stamp icon above his head), the player can receive a number of charges based on their actions. After accepting a subpoena charge, the player then has to enter the Item World to gain the felonies.

On each subpoena is a Subdued Specialist called the Bailiff, and its level determines what floor the Court Gate will be on. Sometimes, the Bailiff will be on a floor larger than what the subpeona will contain, but since it's a subdued specialist, most players simply transfer the Bailiff to an item they wish to power up. This is best done with multiple bailiffs, as when one bailiff is used up, it disappears, so after one is used (ex. Bailiff 6), exit out and place a new one in the item (ex. Bailiff 8).

When the player reaches the requisite floor, the Court Gate appears as a blue gate. When the player enters, they are transported to the Dark Court, where the Prinnies will award a number of felonies to the character as well as an item, mana, or Hell based on the charge.

A popular trick is to stack a number of characters into a tower, then throw them into the gate. They will all be charged with the crime. If the player wants to be rid of the felony stamp, the options "Reincarnate to Atone for Sins" (story characters, 200 mana) or "Reincarnate into a Prinny" (generic characters, 400 mana) will do this. For generics, they have to pass "End Prinny Reincarnation" in order to become something other than a Prinny.
