Archer
Archer is a class that has existed since Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. According to their back story, Archers hail from the now all-female community of Badre, an icy mountain community. It is said that they are born from the roots of a large tree, and that they can hear the spirit of the wind, which tells them the direction and power of the wind. They once lived alongside the Rangers, until a war broke out due to the Archers opposing the cold hearted nature of the Rangers. They wield Bows and attack from a distance.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness

In Hour of Darkness, Archers can be created once the player has a character with level 3 Bow Mastery. Archer is also the name of the first tier of that class. A level 100 Archer is required to unlock the Angel class.
Disgaea 2: Cursed MemoriesEdit

In Disgaea 2, Archers make a return as an unlockable class once a character achieves level 5 Bow Mastery, then pass the "Make a Lovely Hunter" bill. The Archer's innate ability allows for a longer attack range with bows. With some time investing in the Item World, an archer can have a 10-panel attack range.
Disgaea 3: Absence of JusticeEdit

In Disgaea 3, Rangers are a new available unit, their back story explained as having a deep-seated rivalry with the Archers. This rivalry extends into their Evilities, as Rangers deal more damage to females, and Archers deal more damage to males.
Disgaea 4: A Promise UnforgottenEdit

The Archer returns in Disgaea 4. Both a level 15 Valkyrie and Healer are required to unlock them.

Phantom BraveEdit
The Archers in Phantom Brave have the rare skill known as 'Quick Attack', which allows them to attack as soon as they are confined. Their highest skill mastery is that of Energy. If unarmed, Archers can use an attack that creates a short-ranged energy crossbow to attack.
Makai KingdomEdit
The Archers in Makai Kingdom have a high TEC stat, which allows them to use the weapons of Rifles and Fans effectively.
Soul Nomad and the World EatersEdit
The Archers in Soul Nomad have a different appearance to those that appear in other games. They are able to target a unit from up to four spaces away when they are the leader of any squad. When they are the leader, their lone special attack is called 'Raining Shot'. The Raining Shot's animation looks very similar to that of Disgaea 2's Special Bow attack Zielregen.
The Archer's Squad Leader first Tactic is 'Long Shot' which increases the squad's attack range by 1.
